So here we are on Twitter. I’m tweeting, you’re tweeting, we are all tweeting about… whatever! What am I doing, what are you thinking, who’s drunk-tweeting, who’s pissed? Like that. Fun! You don’t know me but you follow me. I follow you. No worries, it’s Twitter! Yay! Only here come’s a new service called Quitter. Well it’s not so new. It was broken for quite a while, but now it’s back. So I get an email notification whenever anyone stops following me, and what my last (and possibly offensive) tweet was. I have lost upwards from 20 followers the past week.
So what gives? There was a handful that apparently I just didn’t follow back fast enough. Little one-nighter tweeters. Then there are the one’s I know that don’t surprise me (hello RL *drama* club). Then there’s the other 90% that make no sense. We don’t know each other, haven’t communicated via Twitter other than following. Following and seeing ‘what you are doing’ is kinda the point, right? But apparently not enough? Was I not funny, real, interesting, and frequently updated? What else is there? Do we have to become friends? I am at 400 followers. Do I have to “@reply” to them all each day?
What? What do YOU expect from Twitter? Why do we lose followers?

I ask myself that. I had someone @reply me with a compliment, waited for me to follow him, then unfollowed me. bitch!
