I think part of the fun of this whole NaBloPoMo business is the whole once a day thing. Sure it can stress you out… but if you plan it right you can really be blogging less!

Okay I kid! I am sure that only works for me. I do find it odd that there isn’t more of a requirement to it. I mean, I could post five times a day and never type more than a sentence each. I love my ‘link-tastic’ category! Oddly though, those posts take more actual time to do. I mean, sure I am not taxing my brain stringing together words but I have to surf the internets. That takes a long time because of the distracting nature of the internet… Heh. I know you know what I mean.

Anyhoo. What else? I bought Britney’s album on iTunes. I don’t hate it. In fact there are a few songs I find catchy. Overall I think I like every song, a little. But meh. I think I am not excited about it because it is so foolproof. It could be any unknown singer and it’d be the same to me. There’s not that Britney pop to it, yanno?

Yes, I saw the VMA’s. Yes I saw Britney’s “number”.

Sigh. After that I just didn’t have it in me to blog. I mean. Seriously. Brit, what were you thinking? I took the night off.

First of all, that outfit? Sure it’s hot. It’s even not horrible on her. But ‘not horrible’ doesn’t cut it. She needed to look amazing! She’s still a pretty girl. She could do it. I am sure that any disagreements with the hair stylist didn’t help. So bad outfit choice (although I’d love to see Madonna in that bikini) and bad hair. Secondly, our girl Brit wasn’t feeling it. If she were, we’d not have noticed either bad fashion choice. Britney knew how to captivate us back in the day. She looked stoned or bored or both. It was just awful.

But you read all that already, right? Watch it here. Then watch Brit and Madonna in 2003. More expression on Britney’s face in the first 10 seconds than in the whole Gimme More performance. Dude. Then there’s this one. This is the Britney I miss.

Aw well, better luck next time. I think I want her to make that comeback more than she does…

So it turns out that Britney really is performing downtown tonight. She is literally 15 minutes away from me right now. I had no idea that the rumors could possibly be true. I am bitter. Bitter!! I love our tragic Britters! Bald, fat, preggars, poorly dressed, and all. (But really, she looks better, except what has she been wearing?)

Anyhoo. It was a school night so even had I known, and had the ticket source I’d have opted out. Plus I HATE the House of Blues. They have issues upholding their own policies in there… Made for a crappy time when we saw Butch Walker. At least Butch was amazing!

UPDATE: Just saw the news… Apparently it was like a 20 minute show. Four or five songs that were cut short as well as lip-synching the entire time. Although they said the dancing was good. Hrm. Britney…

The story on the website was a bit more optimistic:

Britney Spears took the stage late Tuesday at the House of Blues, making what is believed to be her first public concert appearance in nearly three years.
Starting the five-song set with her classic “Baby One More Time,” Spears was back in top form. The boots-wearing one-time teen pop queen appeared onstage in a pink bra top and a short white skirt with her belly ring out.
The drama of the past few months appeared to be behind her.

Hahahah. I totally stole that title! Sorry… but it is so perfect. In this episode I talk about my triumphant return to the gym, exercise, Reichen and Lance (how they upset me so), Sheldon, Richard, Britney Spears, and I am getting calls, I am on the iChat. Basically the usual mess. I probably talk about more stuff than that.
