I slept until one in the afternoon today. I felt kinda bad about it. Well, at least till I remembered that I was at work until one in the morning, and thus up until 3:30. Still a lot more sleep time than I actually need, but December does tend to catch up with ya. Heh. I can’t believe we are two days away from the halfway mark. Time goes crazy fast! Amazing.

I am pretty caught up this year too. work is going 10 times smoother than last year. I feel like we are on top of it.  Sure I am doing 6 days, but the hours are not too crazy. In fact, this is my only ‘closing’ weekend. I am almost through it! I feel a bit more balanced and caught up at home too. My holiday cards are sent. We are going to have a post-holiday party, and the planning is done for that. The invites are out. As soon as we get some RSVP’s we can move on food and stuff. The house is clean. We really just need to maintain and we will be guest-ready. Heck, I even got my 20,000 mile tune-up done! So the car drama the other day was not so bad… Right? All I have left to squeeze into the month is a DMV visit (appointment Tuesday) and a haircut. No problem!

So yeah. Today I am calm. Maybe by next week I’ll be a frazzled mess like usual. But so far so good as of today.

Hey everybody! It’s that magic time of year again. The time when I solicit your personal info. No seriously! Each year around the holiday dp.com gives back. We give back to you, the reader. It is the annual dp.com holiday Card Exchange™! All you have to do is send me your snail mail address, and you will receive a sassy holiday card from yours truly here in sunny San Diego! No strings attached! I promise not to show up at your door and kill you too, because that would be rude…

Last year we sent out upwards from 20 cards! And I got that many as well. Great fun yo. And, if you were on the list last year, you are automatically signed up this year! Yay!

Why oh why did we do sooo much Christmas decor?? We had no company, no party, we were hardly ever home, and we don’t have kids… Good laaawd! I am just barely done taking the crap down! Do you have any idea how many balls where on that tree? Not to mention the icicles and swirly things. But that was only PART of it. I had holiday coming outa my ass in here! Every corner had something. It was like a department store holiday up in here!

I guess I can be glad that it is done and gone. My back hurts. My feet hurt. I think I wore out the vacuum (note to self: stop decorating with glitter-y things!!) All that’s left is the wreath on the door, and the stack of holiday cards. I am not allowed to just toss those without consulting Richard. One may have like, meaning or something. Well they ALL have meaning, but he may want to save one or something. Now that I think of it, I bet I could DO something with those cards! A crafty Martha Stewart type thing for next year! Oooh!

It’s that time of year yet again for me to ask about holiday cards. I like to send them. I never use a whole box of cards. Well I used to never. Until last year when I bought the really offensive cards and sent them to my internet friends that loved them! Heh. And Richard thought he’d throw them out… Am I crazy to do it again? Maybe, but you could check my archives and figure out that I am crazy! As we did last year, you can contact me using the contact form or email me direct if you have my email address with your mailing info. (I promise I will not stalk you!) In exchange for your info you will receive a fancy, possibly even sassy holiday card addressed to you to add to your mantle (or table, or shelf, wherever you like to display holiday cards...). Heck, I’ll even personalize it.

If you got one last year you will get one again, so let me know if you have moved… you know who you are. Heh.
