Go Sabra! Didn’t I say it would be her? Let’s just say I did, okay? The whole time. Shhh!
The supremely talented yet relatively inexperienced 19-year-old was crowned the winner of the third season of So You Think You Can Dance Thursday night, becoming the hit Fox show’s first female champ and surprising critics who felt that Lacey’s flair or Danny’s God-given talent (or, heck, even Neil’s pretty hair) would prevail in the end.
Although it looked as if she might have rolled her ankle during her solo Wednesday, Johnson, who will pocket $250,000 in prize money, was standing tall tonight.

It was nice to see some of my favorites along the way back again. I have spent the last 2 hours catching up with the show since I was, of course, at work. I even got to see Jaimie!
There were a lot of other “remember me” moments where the judges called back dancers to see a dance again. I like that, in theory. I just kinda wish they did maybe the style again and a new dance. Maybe I am missing the point of it? It is just for filler, right?
[WHAT THE HELL IS CAT WEARING??? OMFG! She looks like a dish scrubbie. My last gay nerve is plucked. Somebody needs to beat her down, show her.. Before she dresses for NATIONAL TV again!!]
Anyhoo, it was an amazing season. Danny should have won out of that final four. Oh, and Jaime was robbed. What the hell with all those conservative styles she got all season? Other than those 2 gripes I am good. Congrats Sabra!

Alright. Where to begin. Tonight was confusing and I didn’t take notes. I was going to, but I we were watching somewhere new, so I didn’t bring a pen or paper. Because I thought it’d look weird. Right? Later I decided I wanted to since we were all across the board as far as order of dancers and solos but it was too late, not having paper and all. I couldn’t ask either. You know, how random to be like, “Oh, how nice to see you again! Lovely home… Can I borrow a pad and a pen?” I know. I am ridiculous.
Anyhoo, let’s talk about Tonight’s show. Get on the Hot Tamale Train honey! Wooo! We had all of the final 4 doing Broadway, Sabra doing Hip Hop with Neil, Lacey and Danny doing the Viennese Waltz (I thought that style was reserved for trying to eliminate people), Danny and Neil did a really hot dancers duel, a wildlife tribute with Lacey and Sabra (that was so weird… little foxes!), Neil and Lacey doing a Lindy Hop and Sabra doing a Cha Cha with Danny. Plus they all did solos throughout. Quite a workout!
[WTF with Cat’s dress? Her hair was good, but back to a bad dress. Does she ever nail them both?]
I think overall that the boys really stood out. I found them to be a bit more consistent tonight. Between the 2 I’d go with Danny. His solo was amazing. Neil is great and all, but Danny just moves.
The girls are a tough cal for me. I do love some Lacey. She is just sexy hot! But Sabra is a performer. Also I find Sabra believable in almost every style. I sometimes can see disinterest in Lacey. I think the judges have said it before too. So I’d have to say for the girls I’d pick Sabra.
Picking between those two is much harder! Still I am voting Danny.
That said, the show is about what America thinks.

Opening number looks to be inspired by the internet famous zombie number, only drowned people? Good, but not as good as the zombie number in my opinion. Wade choreographed both.
Cat looks human tonight! Cute even! The dress is very cute, feathered… although I think she ran out of time in make-up. What’s with that hair? Speaking of hair, when did Mary get those highlights? Erm?
Debbie Allen sits in as judge. Update on Cedric. He’s going to her dance academy.
On to the show!
Solos: Sabra looked cute! High energy. Straight hair? Lauren danced to Pat Benatar. LOVE Pat Benatar! She did a lot of spinning.. Okay. Lacey danced to What I Like About You. More spinning, but with no pants OR shoes.
On to the boys! Pasha was topless! hawt! Cat asked if it was wash day… Poor Cat. Neil had a shirt this time. Aw! However he danced with ‘conviction’ (Richard’s word, but it works). Ah hell! Danny wore a shirt too! Damn! His solo was very emotional. Loved it.
Side note: Cat really does look good. I am a bit shocked…
We move on to the “Teaching Teacher” bit.
Next up: a Krumping performance. I like it. Nice to finally have an idea how this style should look.
Results time!! Lacey safe. I am glad. She was my second choice. So sexay! Danny safe. Woo! Hot, hot, hot! Sabra is safe!! No surprise, but this girl is growing on me! Go Sabra!
In an unprecedented move (as far as I know) they clear out the studio audience to maintain integrity of the show results, due to the advanced taping. People looked pissed! Wow!
Lauren is going home. Nigel supports her. Mary loves her (So the Paula). Debbie spews a really safe response.
Neil is safe. Pasha goes home! Damn! (But really, if Danny was my first choice, then Neil, why am I upset?) Nigel says he’s grown as a dancer, Mary actually tears and calls him “an ambassador of Ballroom Dance”. Debbie suggested acting lessons! She likes him!

Go Jaimie!
Okay, so we all know I never see the results show. I just cannot blog about it fairly. What I want you to do, if you didn’t see it, is check out Blogging So You Think You Can Dance. They have it covered:
Opening group number is Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, choreographed by Jean-Marc Genereaux.
Cat explains about the importance of the top 10.
First 2 couples are Dominic & Sabra, and Danny & Anya. One couple is safe.

Okay somebody fill me in. What exactly is ‘musicality’? I *think* I know what it is. But why did the judges say it again and again, over and over. You know, it is the new ‘pitchy’. Like on Idol, where Randy would say “Yo dog, check it out… I don’t know man.. for me it was kinda pitchy.” That’s it!
You guys were working on your musicality with that one! I wasn’t feeling the musicality with that one. Heh.
So what did I get out of tonight’s SYTYCD? Well, musicality speaking there were those that stood out, and those that need to spend a bit more time in rehearsal! Oh, and what was Cat wearing? I mean what was that? Her dress was so short I could see her serial number. Oi. But we aren’t here to bitch about poor Cat. We are here to talk about dance. I think the favorite couple of the night in our group was Danny & Anya. They were, DANNY was amazing. He is really pretty! Oh, and he can dance. Yeah.
Cedric and Sabra opened, and were solid as usual. That Sabra really is growing on me after tonight. Hok and my new BFF on Twitter JAIMIE were next. I have to be honest. I think this is the second week in a row for them to draw a bad style. Or maybe choreography. I don’t claim to know about dance, but I am an average American, like the ones that vote. I don’t think this was a routine that America will ‘get’ so much. As usual, the judges loved Jaimie as much as we do. She just dances so beautifully, and I think rises above the overall choreography. Hok was dissed a bit again. I will be glad when we move into the next stage where they aren’t latched to the same partners…
Pasha and Sarah did this weird Jazz number to a Queen song. We were confused, but the judges loved it. Neil and Lauren got stuck with Mia as choreographer. I think Mia might be a bit mean, but that’s just me. Anyhoo, I couldn’t get past the outfits with this one. The gloves! What? Were they doing dishes after? Sheesh.
Then Danny and Anya were up. I loved this one and wished the screen would go black and white for a minute, just to experience such a classic style like I would an old movie. It was gorgeous. Kameron and Lacey wrapped it up with an okay Hip Hop bit. I normally like Hip Hop dance, and I did enjoy this one, but the judges didn’t. They even dissed Kameron, but I have to say I think they were right. He just didn’t ‘bring it’ tonight. Like they said, I expected more.
So there we go. I can’t wait till tomorrow. Who is Twittering the results for me?? You all know I work the closing shift, so help me out yo!
