It doesn’t matter that we set all the clocks as soon as we got home. When I woke up to my alarm at 5 AM this morning I knew deep inside that it was really 4. I knew it was 4 AM and I cursed… I hate DST. Every time we go thru this procedure I hate it just a little more.

Spring forward. Fall back. Screw you.

Last night I brought out my ‘fall decor’.

Yes, I am apparently that gay. I get it from my mom. She used to decorate her mantle for whatever season we were in. Well, as far as fall and winter, oh and holiday. Heh. So I dragged out my fall centerpiece for the table, put a basket of fake gourds by the fireplace, and lit my ‘fall harvest’ scented candle. Don’t ask about the fake pumpkins… Sooo gay. I know. I pee glitter too.

I want to prolong the fall season this year, because we all know what looms around the corner.

I had this great idea to go to Michael’s to look into those artificial pumpkins they had at Oktoberfest to demo the carving saw I purchased. I figure if I successfully create a dp.com pumpkin it should last, right? So there I was at the craft store amidst the fall explosion of orange-y things…

I went a little nuts.

Fifty dollars and one floral arrangement, 3 artificial “craft” pumpkins in varied sizes, a bag of artificial seasonal gourds, and two bags of candy corn later I emerged and went shamefully to my car.

There has to be a way to justify all of my faux fall shenanigans…
