1. Why do you read other blogs? Is it voyeurism? Curiosity? Are you just being nosy? It started out that I had discovered these "personal site" and I was totally being nosy. I was curious. It was total voyeurism. I admit it. I felt I was looking at something I wasn't supposed to see. But then something strange happened, and I found these "sites" were becoming personalities. I enjoyed checking in for a laugh, some news, or pictures of places I'd never been. I realized that it was a unique form of self expression. I wanted my own... 2. What is it that keeps you coming back to the blogs you read, regularly? I usually bookmark a site where something catches my eye. A specific post, the design, or name. Something. I then check back every now and again. Sometimes I get "the hook" where I want to know what happens next in their post/life, I want to see what the next link will be, I agree with what they are saying, or I appreciate the "personality" of the site/author. That's when I get 'em on the 'roll for daily reading (or in my Kinja digest) I don't have to agree with everything about the site (my limited political views sure differ from some of my favorite sites) But I do appreciate each one for their own specific qualities. 3. Do you leave a comment on every blog you read? If not - what is it that motivates you to click the “Comments” link? I only comment when I have one to offer. I do "try" to comment every once and a while, but if I'm not feeling it I don't. There are my regulars, where we read each other and I usually use a combined "reply to comments on mine" or "comment on yours" to keep in touch... 4. Speaking of other blogs you read regularly . . you know the protocol by now – list’em! No more Letter of the Day, but there may be a twelve step program in the works at Electric Venom.
