I know a lot of folks weren’t fond of Rob Mariano. Do you even remember him? Let me re-phrase the question… Do you remember Rob and Amber? Yes! From Survivor! Or that other one! Erm, oh yeah! Amazing Race! Yup. That’s him. Wasn’t he pretty? Sure he was kind of a jerk, but so pretty… Anyhoo. Why did I bring this up?

As it turns out, Rob is hosting his own reality show! I know! Huge surprise, right? Bear with me though, it looks promising. First, he auditioned folks here in my home town. San Diego pride yo! Secondly, he is still pretty hot. And lastly, the show looks to be intense. (I am an expert because it was on my morning radio program the other day.) It’s called Tontine.

Tontine will follow 15 contestants, each of which is given “a special key” that unlocks a portion of the $10 million grand prize.  Over the course of 100 days, the cast will be put through a series of mental and physical challenges with the possession of the keys constantly up for grabs.  The series will conclude when only one contestant remains with all 15 keys in his or her possession, allowing them to unlock the $10 million prize.

Now from what yummy Rob said on the radio there is a twist. The huge grand prize is made up of the contestants life savings. Meaning, if you loose, there goes all your money. Obviously each contestant will bring a different amount to the table, and no one knows who’s who. Pretty cool. Yet facking scary yo! I would NEVER risk it all like that. But I’d watch…

Okay, one thing that sucks about these reality competition shows is the east coast spoiler. I mean, I haven’t had one spoiled yet, but still. It sucks.
