For the first time since we have lived in San Diego, Richard and I are off for Pride Weekend. So what do we do?

Cattiness ensued, but it still doesn’t change the fact that if I want my morning energy ‘boost’ I have to drink the strong bitter sludge we lovingly call ‘coffee’ without any milk. This day is probably going to suck. These types of things are foreboding, right?

I feel totally disconnected today too. The closing weekend can do that. I wake up, go to the gym, dress, go to work, come home, sleep, and repeat. For 4 days. 5 this week, since I needed to get out of my usual Thursday close. I have not seen any TV. I have not read any news (like I do that so much). Bah. Disconnected. I took today off from the gym too. So now I feel guilt about that. But to be fair, on my closing weekend I like to take Saturday morning to get the housework done. Waiting a week on that with 2 cats is, well, gross.

Gawd this coffee tastes like hell.
