Yup. That’s what I said. Somebody has gas. It’s bad, but that’s as far as I will go into detail. Needless to say, Richard and I have mutually decided that the ‘chicken style’ taquitos that we have loved and trusted for years have changed. Or we have changed. They will no longer get into the grocery cart. It’s a bit sad, as they were one of the healthier frozen snacks that we still allowed. I cannot tolerate… no, WE cannot tolerate the physical reaction that has recently been occurring.
Anyway, outside of our digestive issues, the weekend is coming to a close. It has been fun, but I am ready to be done. I am tired yo.
This next week there is so much fun to be had! Tuesday is our day off. Back to the gym, the grocery, and all that. After work on Wednesday we are going to the Big Gay Event and seeing Pirates!! I cannot even wait. Sure it’ll be long. 168 minutes I hear, but I am excited anyway. Spidey and I get along, but I adore Jack Sparrow. Then comes the weekend. The weekend OFF. Sigh. Yeah. I hope it is hot and sultry. BBQ weather. If the weather news looks promising I will email the Idol boys and see if we can all hang out in my back yard. Or at least an afternoon at The Prado. I don’t know. I might want to just hibernate though. We’ll see.

Yeah, well it should have been a great day. I was off due to having to work on Sunday for inventory. Richard took the day off. We had a whole big plan. Richard was going to get up early and work on the yard. When I got up we would hit the gym and go from there for fun adventures.
Heh. Not so much. I was rudely waken by that unfriendly poke. When am I getting up? “Gimme another half an hour. I thought you were working in the yard...” He said it was too cold and that he was going to the gym by himself. Okay. I went back to sleep. I was having a really bad dream though. I should have just gotten up now that I think about it. So at ten thirty I got out of bed, had some coffee and met Richard at the gym. An hour and a half later we were back at the house and Richard launched into the backyard. I got dressed.
When he was done and ready to go we put the top down on my bug and ventured down the drive. That’s when it started. I don’t know if it was the bad dream I had or the yard work he did, but we were bitchy. Really bitchy. We bickered and argued for almost an hour before we both got sick of it and rode in silence. We were determined to enjoy the sun you see. So I drove, the top was down, and he sat quietly next to me.
Eventually we ended up at Balboa Park. Our spirits lifted as we cruised around contemplating a trip into the zoo. I parked and we walked to one of our favorite afternoon spots for a cocktail and relaxation. The Prado. I had a pomegranate margarita. He had a slightly dirty martini. We chatted. We enjoyed the sun. All was well.
