aw, love •
mmm, food...
Richard was cooking an ambitious meal tonight. It is one of my favorites that he does, yet complex enough to have been ‘gourmet’. I thought he should present it as a blogumentary! All the cool kids are doing it! So I got him the camera, taking it out of the case, switching it on, and setting it on the counter. Apparently that was my fatal error. You see, we have two cats.
Can you tell where this is going?
Yeah. The little gal-strap was hanging over the edge. It must have been swinging enticingly because I no sooner left the room when the camera crashed to the floor. It landed squarely on the lens, knocking it to a disturbing severe angle. The camera can no longer ‘see’. Not to worry, it was an older camera. Not worth a lot in itself… Just not in the budget for replacement anytime soon.
The worst part was that I had my man all hopped up on the blogumentary thing. He had to use his phone for the pictures. He was bitter. But he did manage to do the post. See?

meme? me?
This meme brought to you by the lovely Charlie of Translucence.
Good lawd. Where do I go here? I mean, I blog everything. I’ll blog the opening of an envelope for cry-eye. Let’s see. 5 things you DON’T know already.. Sheesh!
1) I joke around here about my OCD, but it is frighteningly real. Every time poor Richard moves anything, even a half an inch, I immediately spot it and move it back. We fight about it all the time. Don’t get me started on the rest. It’ll make YOU crazy.
2) I worry a lot about one of my friends. You know when people will ‘drop off the radar’ for a bit? Normal right? But when a certain friend of mine does that I really worry, to the point where I lose sleep. (Does that count as a ‘thing’?)
3) I read your blog everyday if I link to you. Even if I don’t comment.
4) You know when you first start learning about anatomy? When you were young? They had that model where the organs all pulled out one by one and the teacher passed them around and pointed at the next and all? I had to sit with my back turned it upset me so much. I still have to cover my eyes during Grey’s or various CSI’s. And that guy with the insides drawn on his leotard? He was grotesque.
5) I often like complete silence. I will sit with nothing on and stare at a wall and be quite content. My brain needs the downtime.
I think I’ll tag Sue from the beloved Antisocialite next… She seems like she’d have a secret or two…
