Okay somebody fill me in. What exactly is ‘musicality’? I *think* I know what it is. But why did the judges say it again and again, over and over. You know, it is the new ‘pitchy’. Like on Idol, where Randy would say “Yo dog, check it out… I don’t know man.. for me it was kinda pitchy.” That’s it!
You guys were working on your musicality with that one! I wasn’t feeling the musicality with that one. Heh.
So what did I get out of tonight’s SYTYCD? Well, musicality speaking there were those that stood out, and those that need to spend a bit more time in rehearsal! Oh, and what was Cat wearing? I mean what was that? Her dress was so short I could see her serial number. Oi. But we aren’t here to bitch about poor Cat. We are here to talk about dance. I think the favorite couple of the night in our group was Danny & Anya. They were, DANNY was amazing. He is really pretty! Oh, and he can dance. Yeah.
Cedric and Sabra opened, and were solid as usual. That Sabra really is growing on me after tonight. Hok and my new BFF on Twitter JAIMIE were next. I have to be honest. I think this is the second week in a row for them to draw a bad style. Or maybe choreography. I don’t claim to know about dance, but I am an average American, like the ones that vote. I don’t think this was a routine that America will ‘get’ so much. As usual, the judges loved Jaimie as much as we do. She just dances so beautifully, and I think rises above the overall choreography. Hok was dissed a bit again. I will be glad when we move into the next stage where they aren’t latched to the same partners…
Pasha and Sarah did this weird Jazz number to a Queen song. We were confused, but the judges loved it. Neil and Lauren got stuck with Mia as choreographer. I think Mia might be a bit mean, but that’s just me. Anyhoo, I couldn’t get past the outfits with this one. The gloves! What? Were they doing dishes after? Sheesh.
Then Danny and Anya were up. I loved this one and wished the screen would go black and white for a minute, just to experience such a classic style like I would an old movie. It was gorgeous. Kameron and Lacey wrapped it up with an okay Hip Hop bit. I normally like Hip Hop dance, and I did enjoy this one, but the judges didn’t. They even dissed Kameron, but I have to say I think they were right. He just didn’t ‘bring it’ tonight. Like they said, I expected more.
So there we go. I can’t wait till tomorrow. Who is Twittering the results for me?? You all know I work the closing shift, so help me out yo!

I sooo hate missing these. Thanks to my tweethearts on Twitter for trying to keep me in the loop while I was working. Sadly, I never made it back to my phone to see what happened. Bah. Anyhoo, I got home and went to a new SYTYCD rescource, Blogging So You Think You Can Dance. It’s a blog after my own heart!
We’ll be down to the top 12 after tonight’s results show. Losing just about anybody is going to hurt, as it has already this season. Expected to be clearly safe tonight are Pasha & Sara, and Dominic & Sabra. All bets are off after that, though Neil & Lauren polled a surprisingly strong 16% of the vote in our poll.
As I read, I got nervous. The way they wrote their post was very live blogging-style. And you know how I love my new Twitter BFF / SYTYCD contestant Jaimie. As I read on I got some bad news. Bad news, people! She actually went to the Bottom Three. *gasp*
I know. I am still pulling myself together. Don’t worry. She’s safe. We lost Cedric and Shauna tonight. Cedric, sure I saw that coming. But Shauna?? Was she the most deserving of the axe? I don’t know…
But our JaimieG is safe!!

Faina and Jimmy have been eliminated. Hrm. Well, no surprise for me with Jimmy. Faina was not that bad though, but I never see the results show. She may have bombed the ‘dance for your life’ thing. I really thought Shauna would be gone. She totally bugs me, but I read that her solo was really amazing. At any rate, next week Cedric and Shauna partner for the first time. Poor guy.
So this week I tried to do a totally different TV show blog style. What’d you think? Was I a bit forced? Was it too much? I am not sure. The thing is, I enjoy Reality TV Blogging™, but if you read me you are already watching. Well at least I think you are. The whole post may have been redundant for you. Plus, there are a lot of sites that already post reality stuff.. that do it better. Anyhoo, let me know in comments yo.

Hey yo. The Idol Bois meet again, though not for American Idol… That’s so last month. Now we are doing So You Think You Can Dance... I should come up with a new name for our little group, eh? Anyhoo, tonight was a little different, as we were joined by some new people. Hi new people! They were actually really sweet. I love the new people we are meeting these days! Our friends have the cutest friends… On a sad note we were missing one of the original, if not THE original Idol Boi tonight. We missed you Fred!!
Okay, now down to business. Remember last week when I wondered if my friends would think I was weird if I took notes? Well, they totally didn’t. In fact, I had forgotten to bring a note pad and our hosts totally brought me one. Heh. Now just to read them…
The first pair to perform was Lauren and Neil. That Neil is cuter than I thought. The style was Hip Hop. Mia thought they were ‘better than last week’. Mary ‘just loved it’. (Mary still annoys me.) Nigel felt that tonight they were ‘setting the bar’. I actually feel sorry for them being first. It is hard to remember how they did, even with notes yo.
Next we had Pasha and Jessi. The style was ‘Stiff Jazz’. What is that? The movements were nature inspired, as in like bird like. Mia said that she ‘loves birds’ and that it was ‘amazing’. Mary stated the obvious, that ‘you are both beautiful people’. Nigel seemed to just plug the show. Hrm. They are both seriously pretty though, at least we thought so…

Hok and Jaimie were up next with a Samba. Hawt! Mia said they were ‘as sexy as hell’. Mary felt that though there were ‘good bits’ it was not at a ‘high level’. Wow! And Nigel agreed with her!
Dominic and Sabra were funny. They chose Contemporary, a dance style foreign to Dominic. In rehearsals he was concerned for his safety! “If I don’t put my hand on her shoulder [now] the outcome is me hitting my weiner” LOL. Poor boy. After their performance Mia spent a few moments bonding with the b-boy Dominic, in the end stating that he was ‘what this competition is about, beautiful’. Mary thought they were ‘absolutely fabulous’. Nigel gave Sabra props, saying she was ‘tremendous’. He also pointed out that Dominic shaved his toes. Cute!
Cedric and Faina did a Fox Trot. I thought it would be fun! Not so much. Mia thought it was like ‘Ginger Rogers and an insecure Michael Jackson. Mary said ‘I did not feel you were wonderful’. Nigel recommended that Cedric ‘invest in rehearsals’. I think Mary and Nigel are just bitchy tonight.
Next up was my favorite Kameron and that chick they put him next to. Just kidding! Her name is Lacey and she’s hawt too. They were a highlight last week, so I expected a lot. They did not disappoint. The style was Broadway. *Drool* I love it. It was a song from Chicago! Mia felt that they were the ‘sexiest couple’, duh, but missed the pizzaz from Kameron. Mary thought it was ‘well done’ though a ‘bit naughty in the beginning’. Nigel added that it looked as though ‘they’ve been dancing together for years’. I say go Kameron!! The boy is fine…
next was Anya and Danny. Mia said ‘you guys are stunning together’. Mary felt ‘they stepped out of a dream’. Nigel was dead on when he said that folks who ‘don’t know will find it beautiful’. I did.
[OMG this is exhausting]
Shauna and Jimmy had this Hip Hop routine with this weird clogging in the middle. They didn’t call it that, but I thought it looked like clogging. Mia simply said ‘yay’ for Jimmy but felt that Shauna needed to ‘go all out’. Mary was ‘watching Jimmy the whole time’. Nigel used the ‘f’ word. That’s fun, btw… I wasn’t impressed. But I think that Shauna girl bugs me.
Sarah and Jesus were hot. They had a Paso Doble, which apparently is pretty traditional and heated. The music was Queen. Odd. But they looked great, and all of us noticed poor jesus’ package. Oh my! Sadly the music pretty much killed it for all the judges. I still say you need to find it on You Tube tomorrow. Hot.
All in all a great night. I am rooting for Kameron and what’s her face, and liking a few others. This is as fun as Idol! It is!!
