what's up?
So if you follow my Twitter stream at all, which I’m sure you do, then you know I was in Yuma yesterday. I know what you’re thinking. OMG WTF Yuma?! Haha, yes. You see it is pretty much the halfway mark between Phoenix and San Diego and as such it was where Brian of Cheap Blue Guitar and myself decided to meet. Of course it was a year after deciding that we finally did it! I packed up my man Richard and he packed up Dyanna (@dyanna on Twitter) and we each set out on our 250+ mille journeys.
Oi. It’s totally farther than you think. Richard and I arrived a bit early and went off to explore the mall while Brian and Dyanna did their last 40+ miles. Haha. At exactly 2 PM Daniel from danielphillip.com and Brian of cheapblueguitar.com met face to face. So if your internet konked out at that time or you saw a blinding light, now you know why. LOL. Internet personalities collided. Once we did the always weird ‘I read you and chat with you everyday yet NOW we’re meeting’ thing, it was like chatting with old friends. It took a bit tho, because our waiter wouldn’t give us more than 2 minutes alone at a time. Poor ADD kid… Anyhoo, Brian and Dyanna are as awesome as you think. We gabbed a lot, enjoyed the unique culinary flair of The Outback, and the air conditioning. (I don’t know if you know this about Yuma, but it’s hot. It is past all these sand dunes and really in the desert. It was, I kid you not, eleventy million degrees out there.)
So after lunch we decided to treck out and explore the city.. erm, town. It was kinda like a ghost town. There was no one out, what with the oppressive heat. Also there is not much to see. But that in itself made it fun. We’ll always have Yuma! And I have added two more people to my list of Real Life friends!
Pictures were taken and I’ve swiped them all…

what's up?
November is always a tough month for me. Really. There’s the work thing that drives me insane, for one. Something you may not know about me; I work in the retail industry. This means that the last two months of the year really suck. But I do little things to make it more fun (read: challenging) like introduce new house pets, which I am doing this year. Also the past 2 years I have participated in NaBloPoMo. It’s just like that book writing thing, except we aren’t writers. We’re bloggers. So we blog for a month. Heheh.
Last year I convinced Brian to join in with me. You know Brian, right? Super internet celeb from the Cheap Blue Guitar? Him. So that was fun. Look at this post. Don’t you just feel the fun? So anyhoo, I do have a point here. Let me remember it…
Oh yeah!
So this morning I woke up to this:
it’s november! it’s national write your ass off on your blog month.
i triple dawg dare you to do it this month… with me!
are you in?

xxoo,
brian

what's up?
What an exciting week. Of course there is all the Big Birthday Fun for my man… We’ll have to do a re-cap of that at week’s end. Birthday Week is a process. Srsly. Huge fun, but a process. Then I got mail! You see, there was a little offering put out to take part in USPS fun over at the Cheap Blue Guitar. Of course since me and Bri-Bri (Brian) go way, way back I had to sign on! I mean, who doesn’t love getting a little sumptin’ sumptin’ by mail. Thank you Brian!! So well.. Yeah. Lemme just show you my treasures!

Amazing booty, right? Yes, that is a Hannah Montana Punching Balloon. Here, let me model a bit for you…
Welcome to my extended entry.

That’s just my hand. With a fashion accessory wristband by Little Miss Chatterbox! I find that it’s the perfect choice for any casual look.

There it is. There’s my face! Yes. And if you’ve ever done any face and hand modeling, you know how tough that pose is…

Granted, it is only 6:30 in the morning. We have a long way to go today, but I still think this is probably the cutest thing I will see today. You might think so too.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you…

The T. R. Knight Garden $Gnome$. I found him over at Cheap Blue Guitar. I had to have him! Isn’t he the cutest??

what's up?
I swear I am not usually a follower.
Oh, who am I kidding? *cough*blueteam*cough* Okay I take that back. I am totally a follower! So when the fabulous podcasting sensation Ragan Fox said that we needed to check out Summer Heights High, I was totally going to… But I tend to listen to podcasts in bed, and I went to sleep and forgot all about it by morning. Luckily my good friend, and Arizona blogging sensation Brian mentioned it to me as well, but more like a recommendation. And he provided a link! Apparently you can view the series over at the Daily Motion. Summer Heights High is amazingly brilliant! I loved it immediately.
Sometimes following brings me good things. But I don’t think a show recommendation, regardless of the source is like the Color War thing… I just thought it made a good segue. And I still find the Color Wars fun. So basically this post is just to let everyone know about my new favorite thing from Australia. In a creative way…
