what's up?
Ladies, have I got a gem of a product to share with you!
This product is a household cleaner that I honestly was recently amazed by. You see, I have been struggling with my bath tub. It’s one of those modern fiberglass numbers with that textured non-slip bottom. You know the ones. So popular nowadays. You just don’t see a porcelain tub anymore. I tell ya they don’t make things like they used to. Anyhoo, so my tub. I scrub the sonofabitch once a week. I have used all the basics, Comet, Soft Scrub, the one with the animated bubbles.. Nothing would touch that non-slip bottom. It was dark and dingy looking. I hated it. It refused to scrub clean! My Richard even went so far as to tell me that I had “scrubbed the finish off”! The finish! Really? There is no finish on fiberglass. I would have scrubbed through the floor if that had happened.
So this past weekend out of sheer desperation I visited my local Lowes Home Improvement Store. I love the Lowes. I prefer it to Home Depot actually. It’s just more for a lady… I find Home Depot to be just too raw. Anyhoo, so I was in the Lowes staring at the wall of household cleansers wishing for a product that stated it was made for tub cleaning. I figured it was all this “multi-purpose” mumbo jumbo that was part of my issue. And lo and behold ladies, there it was:

Look at it! Commercial Strength! Basin, Tub, AND TILE!! The best part, ladies, was the price. This amazing product is just $2.85 down at your local Lowes Home Improvement. It works. Let me assure you, it really does just what it says! My tub looks amazing. I just knew it could come clean! Here’s an informative video review I found:

what's up?
I had to wake up extra early to pick-up my dry cleaning. It looked like they weren’t open yet and I was getting pissed as I strode up to the door. I mean it was after 10…
Turns out the chick forgot to turn on the ‘open’ sign as well as like half of the lights in there. False alarm !
Now I need to shower and put on one of those freshly cleaned and pressed shirts and get my ass to work!

what's up?
It’s a heavy-blog day. Like a heavy-flow day, only for bloggers. Srsly. I have posted 3 times already. I have! What? You don’t see them? Heh. Right… It’s because they are not on my blog. In fact they are all over town. There’s one at Yoshi’s, one at Katie’s, and one at Pandora’s. It’s like the old days. You know, back when I’d post my link all over the internet for free. Heh. Oh, I still tend to do that when I get the chance. Right. I would have done more since it is that FFAF thing where folk’s open there blogs, but I was busy f*cking Matt Damon. (That NEVER gets old…)
So what haven’t I covered elsewhere? I had an OCD fit today and began cleaning house the minute I walked in the door. This caused a bit of a spat between me and my man… Right. Other than that it’s been low key and tidy around here. And I got a big head start on the laundry… Woo!

aw, love
I feel kinda spoiled.
Richard was off today. I had to work. Not spoiled so far, I know. So anyway, Richard was off, and the plan was that he’d spend the day getting some of the dishes for Thursday ready. That of course started with major groceries. So knowing that, I figured dinner would be minimal if not take out. I even called to see what I could bring home, you know, to help out. He said I didn’t need to stop.
I came home to not only find him cooking for the Thanksgiving potluck we are going to, but a rather nice dinner too! I went up to change and saw that he remembered my dry cleaning AND changed the bed. Aw!

It seemed like a good idea to go with the ASAP delivery time slot. However, now that I am in the thick of the unavoidable timeline I have to question the decision. Here we are after a long day of work and Richard is upstairs ironing the new comforter set. After he is done I get to move all of the clothes out of the armoire, take it apart and put it outside. Then I have to dust all the decorative crap that we have and will still use into the guest room. Then the furniture pieces get disassembled and stowed in the garage. After that I will do the vacuuming.
Clearly it will be bedtime after that because we have to get up extra early to get the bed stripped and taken apart.
You see how this is going right? Guess what we get to do after work tomorrow and the new stuff is here? Yep. If you guessed put it all back together again and vacuum the whole house after the delivery guys stomp in and out you win the gold star!
But I am not complaining. I am lucky to get new furniture! But the planning yo. It needs work next time.

what's up?
I have sat down to try and post like 15 times today. I have some kind of block or something. I have tried to create an update on my day, but all I did was clean house and bicker with Richard. Who needs to read that? There is no blogmentary of cooking delights tonight. We are just having chili and cornbread. I spent no money, went nowhere but the grocery, and found that the cats sprayed in the corner of the living room. Big exciting day right? (Well I was excited to have found the pee cause I thought the boxes were just really stinky or something… Now we have an odorless living space.)
So anyway. That’s what’s up. I am having a good time at work lately, and it seems to take a bit of my creative mind, not to mention the off hours that I still spend planning projects for work. None of which makes for exciting blog-fodder. Heh. Maybe I should try to do a podcast. Can you imagine? ‘So um… yeah and um..’ Heheh!

what's up?
Why oh why did we do sooo much Christmas decor?? We had no company, no party, we were hardly ever home, and we don’t have kids… Good laaawd! I am just barely done taking the crap down! Do you have any idea how many balls where on that tree? Not to mention the icicles and swirly things. But that was only PART of it. I had holiday coming outa my ass in here! Every corner had something. It was like a department store holiday up in here!
I guess I can be glad that it is done and gone. My back hurts. My feet hurt. I think I wore out the vacuum (note to self: stop decorating with glitter-y things!!) All that’s left is the wreath on the door, and the stack of holiday cards. I am not allowed to just toss those without consulting Richard. One may have like, meaning or something. Well they ALL have meaning, but he may want to save one or something. Now that I think of it, I bet I could DO something with those cards! A crafty Martha Stewart type thing for next year! Oooh!

What a busy day! I barely had a moment to myself, which is funny since I was alone all day... First of all, there has been this talk about a possibility of moving. It has really gotten me into a mood. There's all the career things to consider, yes, and thanks for all the comments on that. There's is also the feeling of not being prepared!
So I have started in on this "deep cleaning" thing. I mean, part of being ready to move is
freshly laundered bathroom rugs, and
windexed glass shelves, right? Why move anything dirty? And one doesn't want to have to do any cleaning after all your crap is out, so it's all about maintenance now. Don't get me wrong, we keep a tidy house, but I need to lift up the stove top now and again, and vacuum under that refrigerator regularly! I should probably wipe out the cupboards too, one every few days. Luckily we've just had the complex do our carpeting...

Tonight we had my parents over for dinner, so I was planning a meal this morning. I decided on a crock-pot dish, as I clearly had a lot of chores going on. I made a "slow cooked curry chicken". It was surprisingly good, considering the unusual ingredients in the recipe. Like salsa. (Salsa in a curry dish?) But it all worked out. In the pot at one, done at six. The sad part was Richard never told me that he'd been doubling all the crock-pot recipes. So it only made four small servings, and that would've been fine. There were four of us, except everyone wanted seconds. Oh well, at least it was a success!
Actually, it was a great evening overall. My parents were excited to share the plans for the house in Florida that they're having built. The conversation kept going back to that, but we shared the "San Diego Possibility" news and stuff. The cats harassed my mother, the usual fun!

I think I’ve been bit by the cleaning bug today. I got home at a quarter after seven. Since then I have: emptied the dishwasher, cleaned out the coffee maker, swept out the laundry room (that’s where the cat boxes are), did a load of laundry, wiped the bathroom counter, and swept and washed the kitchen floor.
I think I must be on the crack! I need to settle down!
I have to bitch about one thing with the laundry facilities though. Don’t get me wrong, I love that it is in my unit, but why did they install a super-size washer, only to pair it with regular sized dryer? It is so annoying. No matter what you do, the washer never seems full, and yet at the end, everything is wrinkled from being shoved into the tiny dryer. It really sucks.
