Shopping Spree

what's up?
We were shopping fools yesterday. And not the good kind of shopping. More like those errands that were put off because we were playing all weekend. Although we did make the mistake of setting foot into Ikea and left with a houseplant, festive napkins, 2 enormous fake sunflowers, and the tea light candles we went in for. LOL, right? After that we did penance at Target. You know, all those things we go to Target for… Oh, and Richard found some furniture he’d like to put outside on the patio to replace our lawn chairs! Sadly, due to Target’s not wanting to sell ‘floor models’ we weren’t able to procure said outdoor furniture. Richard did however collect everyone’s name and plans to contact the DM. Exciting! Then it was off to the Ralph’s for some much needed foodstuff. We work the next 6 days straight and no one wants to be running off to the grocery… It was there that we saw the Sauce Goddess! Her shirt was delightfully sassy so I asked her to pose for a photo. She was cute! The sauce she was demoing was pretty good too. We picked up a jar, but really we just wanted the shirts!! Will be ordering soon…
After all the excitement, and looking ahead at a very busy work-weekend I decided we should forgo the Blogger Meetup. It would have been fun to go, but I really needed a quiet night in. Besides the huge Tweet-Up is just around the corner. We won’t be missing that one.
All in all it was a good day off. But ow, my wallet! Still sore! Heh!

what's up?
Well kids, it’s tha last day of my glorious 4 day weekend. It was supposed to have been 5 (Remember? They made me work. Stupid Mother’s Day) but 4 was okay. It all ends abruptly though. I have to be at work at 4:30 in the morning.
*sigh*
So today, being the last day was filled with all those little chores and errands to get me ready for the next 5 days of work. You know. Fascinating things, like haircut. groceries, dry cleaners, and the usual stuff around the house. Nothing really interesting. Maybe I’ll do a bit of manscaping later… Heh. Anyhoo. There’s my day so far.
The Dry Cleaning Fiasco.

what's up?
Hey, so here’s one. I asked Richard what I should blog about today. He mentioned the dry cleaning fiasco. Hahah. Not funny, but now clearly I have to bring the entire Internets up to speed on our mutual idiocy. You see, we have a lot of dry cleaning. A retail gig is really all about dressing fancy while running around and sweating your ass off all day, right? So yeah. We go to the cleaners a lot. Anyhoo. Yeah, so we (as in I) dropped off all of the soiled shirts and pants, as well as Richard’s tuxedo. He intended to wear it for an upcoming thing, you see. He needed it back by today. Saturday.
Anyway. The intent was always that he was going to pick up the stuff, as he was off work really early Saturday (today). Are you following all this buildup?

On Friday I was on my way home, and called him to see what he wanted to do for dinner. He announced that it had been a long day and he wanted PIZZA. Round Table PIZZA. Erm, that’s off the big diet, but okay. We hadn’t had a ‘real’ pizza in months. I was game. I told him he’d have to pick it up though. He was less than thrilled, but wanted pizza. Heh. However while we were talking I realized he was still at work and exited off the freeway towards the grocery. I said I would get the dry cleaning too, it was just in the same parking lot for cry-eye. He said he had intended to do that Saturday. I said, “Are you sure?” He was like, “Yeah”. So long story short I skipped the cleaners and just brought home the milk I needed.
As it turned out this was the wrong choice. As penance I had to clean up the kitchen from the pizza dinner. Plus, the following day (back to Saturday) I was assigned to take back the late movies, go to the grocery store AND pick up the dry cleaning that Richard had thought I was going to get on Friday!!! Even though he was going to be off at two in the afternoon. I wouldn’t get home until at least six with all these errands!
(Is this confusing or mundane? I can’t tell...)
So now (FINALLY) it’s Saturday afternoon. About twenty after five I guess. I am on my way to the store/Blockbuster/dry cleaners after a busy day at work when I notice I had a message on my phone from Richard. He went on how he had suddenly felt bad and decided to get out and handle some of the errands after napping since he had been off since TWO, and lucky he did because the DRY CLEANER closed at five! It was TEN AFTER when he got there!! He had tried knocking on the door, banging and then shouting but the people inside ignored him because they were closed.. (I had to call him back for the rest of the story.) Turns out he ran around back and caught them getting into their cars… He begged to get them to give him his tux. They weren’t going to… but they did. And thank GAWD since somehow this is all my fault because I thought he had insisted on picking up the dry cleaning on Saturday himself.
I have been half in the doghouse ever since.
