thoughts i had
Sometimes I can see the benefits of being the first one up. For instance, the coffee is still hot. That’s nice. I like not having to heat up each cup. Also there is no one to yell at me if I turn on the heater. I don’t care how much the bill will be, it’s too cold for my delicate skin in here! So as I sit here, enjoying my hot coffee and my heat all I can think about is that I wish I were still in bed.
I guess sometimes even life’s little pleasures aren’t enough.

what's up?
Wake up at 3:00 in the morning
work from 5 until 2 in the hot store (falling asleep at my desk during lunch)
Go home to stifling house
Turn on AC
Sleep in chair for 2 hours
Blog it
I think I will make a snack next, and pretend it’s Happy Hour. My man is still sleeping in the chair. Heh. And you know what? If he bitches about the AC being on one more time he is going to have to stay outside. He’s just making it work harder with the heat of his bad attitude anyway…
P.S. No more white shoes ladies!

what's up?
Today I did something really bad. I turned on the forbidden air conditioner. Some of you may know that Richard hates the air conditioning. “It’s too expensive!” He says, or “It won’t stay cool!” Blah blah blah… All I know is that being greeted by a home that is stifling hot is not a way I like to end my day, and after more than a week of dealing with it I snapped. I vacuumed my way upstairs (like I do) to the thermostat and switched it on. I didn’t even think about it actually, until I realized I should make sure that all the windows were closed. Heh. It’s down to a delicious 82 degrees in here!
The best part was when Richard got home. He didn’t wilt or get bitchy like we usually do lately. In fact he became quite animated and chipper! I tried to attribute it to the AC but he denied it. Liar! With his tall tale about some sugar he ate making him hyper…
Whatever. All I know is that I am feeling cool, sipping a glass of wine, and got my feet on my foot massager under the desk. Life is good.
