Can you believe I sluffed off Idol tonight? What the hell? I have never done that in the whole.. erm, one year I have been Idol blogging. I am shamed. Yet kinda glad. That is like so much work. Sure I was at the computer all night as it was, but it was nice to take a night off from that. Of course the other half of me is saying ‘but it’s so early in the season’. Blah blah blah. I think once a week is plenty, if I can get Pandora to sign off on taking the girls night, all the better.
So what was I doing? Well for one thing, taking that poll off the top. I was gonna do it earlier today but I was busy.. f*cking Matt Damon. Totally, and no I wasn’t pretending it was you. There is still time to get your vote in if you like. You remember the question? No? It was who would you rather f*ck (with an asterisk, just like that. It’s dirtier.) Matt Damon or Ben Affleck. I know. Tough question. So while you digest that, let me just tell you…
I was PIMPED! I love it. Now we have always known I can be a bit of a blog whore. Heh. But this time I was pimped live! Plugged! At least I think that is what you call it when you hear it LIVE. Yup. I was pimped and plugged by Jester. All kidding aside (tho I hope it was good for you too) Jester has been blogging since forever and has started up his own radio show type podcast thing over on the Blog Talk Radio. It was fun for me to listen in, as I used to live up in ol’ NoCal and Jester and what’s-his-bucket mentioned a lot of my old stomping grounds like Faces in Sacramento… Aw, memories! Oh, and ew, memories.. Depending on the night. Sheesh. I am glad I survived those days. Anyhoo, thanks for the pimping and plugging yo!
Can you believe there have been 30 of these? Thirty, as in three-oh. 30. OMG.
Anyway, I was on my way to work and figured it was a great time to multi-task! Erm. Maybe not, since I have no headset to my cheap RCA recorder thingie. But it’s the other drivers that are bad, not me.
I know you saw that ‘test video’ thing. You are probably thinking what I am thinking.
“What the hell? The whore can barely produce a sub-par podcast, now she wants to assault us visually too?!”
It’s true. In my podcasts I am unorganized, unfocused, and unoriginal. I copy, plagiarize, tell boring stories, and make stuff up. So I figured you should probably look me in the eyes while I am at it right? Actually the video option is just part of what I have in store for dp.com. Granted I envision the video as part of the podcast, and set it up as such, but I am hoping to take it in a different direction. But then again, I don’t know.
It’s to early too say. Let’s just celebrate the fact that I got the video player installed and working. Right? Right.
I kind of like the right now feel of the Twitter thing, and so here in a full blown post is my right now (just pretend it’s different from what I normally do, okay??). I am here at my desk after work, surfing the internet. I have my electric foot massage thing tucked under the desk and I have the vibration and heat settings on full blast. It also has this swirly massage ball thing, but when my feet ache it is a bit much. Almost hurts really. It was a frustrating, yet very productive day. This is good. The productive part. The frustrating part is that bit about working with people. I think that will always be the downside of my, or any position. Isn’t that funny?
Anyway, I just wanted to check in. Do we think the whoring for nominations is a bit much? Have you nominated me? Get creative if you do… I fit into a few different categories!

I confess… I am a bit bummed about the ‘gayness’ of this blog. It was always my goal to not be in the gay, or any other niche. I’m not. I made my goal and am glad I have a broad appeal. My readers and links come from all types of places. I have never been a noted, new, or otherwise ‘gay blog’ and yet I am jealous. Especially around any ‘blog award’ time. (But I have the Blog Whore thing to remember, haven’t I?)
I confess… I do not like San Diego nearly as much as the Bay Area. It depresses me, and I sometimes wish I’d never moved. Even though the quality of my life has improved, I feel a bit trapped here.
I confess… I enjoy the cats waaay more than I let on. The beasts.
I confess… I do not take world events seriously. I realize that’s not a good thing. It’s something I work on everyday. I recently registered to vote again. I haven’t voted since Clinton! See, I’m working on it. I even have a favorite news program, but I pretend the pretty female anchors are lesbians… BUT I watch the news daily.
I confess… I am a horrible writer. This is probably obvious. I actually think earlier entries here were better, but nowadays you have to be careful posting about work, and that’s like 90 percent of my life so I am left with little to no subject matter. I mean, you can only write about that rude cashier at the grocery so many times…. and (see above) I am awful with world events and news.
